Walking in Florence

An unforgettable walk through the city of Florence with your guide taking a closer look at some of the enchanting sights of this beautiful city. Departing from the Sita bus terminal we will head towards Piazza del Duomo, the most spectacular square in Florence and home to the Cathedral, Giotto’s Belltower and the Baptistery of Saint John the Baptist, patron saint of the city.From here, we continue along Via Calzaiuoli to Piazza della Signoria and to Palazzo Vecchio, home to the town hall. This square is famous worldwide for the Loggia dei Lanzi and the fact that it leads to the Uffizi Art Gallery, one of the most art galleries in the world. Just a few steps from the Uffizi is the Ponte Vecchio, the oldest pedestrian bridge in Florence, renowned worldwide for its gold shops.From here we moved on to the San Lorenzo market where a small snack will be offered.

Walking Florence with Uffizi Museum 
For an additional + $20 per person

You will reach Santa Novella Church, one of the most famous churches of Florence, situated in the square having the same name. Walking along the Lungarno you arrive at Ponte Vecchio, the oldest bridge of Florence, with his characteristic goldsmith boutique with bulging windows. You go on to Piazza Signoria, vast and imposing, dominated by Palazzo Vecchio, at the side there is the three-arched Loggia dei Lanzi. The tour continues with the visit inside the Uffizi Gallery, one of the most important museum in the world, where it is possible to admire the original paintings of Leonardo, Michelangelo, Botticelli, Raffaello and many other masterpieces by great artists. The visit ends inside the Uffizi Gallery, where you can stay on your own until closing time.

Walking Florence with Uffizi Museum Tour Details:
Duration - approx 3 hours
Afternoon Tour - Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays

Pisa Excursion from Florence
For an additional + $25 per person

Driving through the green countryside of Tuscany we arrive in the city of Pisa, which was one of the known four marine republics. Here you can admire one of the famous loveliest architectural complexes in the world, the Piazza dei Miracoli where the Leaning Tower, the Cathedral and the Baptistery are situated. The visit ends approximately at 5.45 pm, when you will be driven back to Florence. Back in town after one hour and a quarter by bus.

Pisa Excursion from Florence Tour Details:
Duration - approx 4 hours
Afternoon Tour - Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Departure Time - 1:45pm
Highlights: Piazza dei Miracoli and the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Chianti Excursion from Florence 
For an additional + $25 per person

An opportunity to relax in the heart of Tuscan countryside in the Chianti Classico wine producing area. Green hills, cypress trees, and all around rows of grape vines and olive groves from which they extract the well known extra virgin olive oil.The tour includes a visit to a place of historic or artistic interest and a visit to one of the Chianti wine cellars to taste their high quality products(1).The arrival time back in Florence is estimated to be around 7.00 pm.

Florence City Tour with Accademia Museum 
For an additional + $30 per person

Along the romantic Viale dei Colli up to Piazzale Michelangelo: a stop to admire the wonderful panorama of the city, one of the most beautiful in the world. The tour continues with a visit of the "Accademia Delle Belle Arti" where together with the guide you can admire one of the most famous works of art in the world, the "David of Michelangelo".This itinerary includes a visit of the Cathedral complex: the Cathedral (visit inside)(*) with Brunelleschi’s wonderful Cupola, Giotto’s Bell Tower, the Baptistery with its bronze doors, among which the most famous Gates of Paradise.

Pisa & Lucca Excursion from Florence
For an additional + $40 per person

After one and an half hour drive through the green countryside of Tuscany we arrive in the city of Pisa, which was one of the famous four Marine Republics. Here you can admire Piazza dei Cavalieri, and one of the famous loveliest architectural complexes in the world, the Piazza dei Miracoli where the Leaning Tower, the Cathedral and the Baptistery are situated. Then free time in Pisa for lunch. After lunch, (not included) you will travel by coach to Lucca, one of the most fascinating towns in Tuscany. Here you will be given free time (approximately 1hr 30 mins) to explore this beautiful town surrounded by its ancient walls. Why not take a walk along the walls of the city or visit Piazza Grande where the Duke’s Palace is situated. Other places of interest are the Cathedral of San Martino and the birthplace of Giacomo Puccini. Departure from Lucca at 5.00 pm for the return journey to Florence (approximately 1 hr).

Siena & San Gimignano Excursion from Florence
For an additional + $45 per person 

An opportunity to see two of the loveliest towns in Tuscany. The journey of just over one hour takes us through the Chianti countryside. Arrival in Siena where there will be the walking tour with the local guide. Here you can admire the marvellous Cathedral, the unique fan shaped square Piazza del Campo and the majestic Palazzo Comunale. During the tour you will visit of Libreria Piccolomini (*) and Museo del Duomo. After the tour free time for lunch (not included).After lunch we continue our journey on to San Gimignano, which is famous for its medieval towers and which offers a magnificent view from its rock to overlooking the valley. Time at your leisure (about 1 hour and half). Departure to Florence at 5.00 pm approximately, and arrival in town about one hour later.

*Cannot be visited on Sundays, National Holidays and for reasons beyond control. Replaced with the Batistery. 

Siena & San Gimignano Excursion from Florence Details:
Duration - approx 7 hours
Morning Tour - Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Departure Time - 9:15am

All the buses for the excursions leave from platform n. 9, inside the SITA bus station, located in Via Santa Caterina da Siena 17, next to the Santa Maria Novella train station.

Due to city bus regulation, the tour will be operated mostly on foot. To stay in the bus means to lose the pleasure to see most important site. We suggest to wear comfortable and suitable clothes, especially for visiting Cathedrals and Churches where shorts and uncovered shoulders are not allowed.
