ITINERARY
DAY 1: Sunday - Nuremberg City Tour
Arrive in Munich (on your own arrangements - flights are NOT included) and transfer to your ship for embarkation. (Transfer from Munich to Nuremberg may be purchased for an additional cost). Enjoy a tour of Nuremberg's city center this afternoon. The tour includes a drive throughout this famous walled city, including the medieval square, the Church of Our Lady, and several World War II memorial sights along the way. Tonight, enjoy a gala welcome dinner on board.

DAY 2: Monday - Tour Bamberg
Arrive this morning in Bamberg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, situated at the entrance to the Main-Danube Canal. Enjoy a guided tour of this medieval town, including the 13th-century Cathedral and Old Town Hall. Walk the city's winding streets and view its charming architecture and 18th-century mansions. This afternoon, depart Bamberg and enter the Main River.

DAY 3: Tuesday - Daylight Sailing on the Main
Today, enjoy time at leisure on board while sailing on the Main River.

DAY 4: Wednesday - Walking Tour of Wertheim
This morning, arrive in Wertheim and enjoy a walking tour of the town. Afterwards enjoy time to browse the market square before returning to the ship for lunch. This afternoon, bid farewell to the Main and enter the Rhine River.

DAY 5: Thursday - Daylight Sailing
Today cruise through the Rhine Gorge and enjoy beautiful views of historic castles and the legendary Lorelei Rock. Continue sailing via Koblenz, where the Rhine and Moselle Rivers converge, for Cologne.

DAY 6: Friday - Tour of Cologne
This morning, enjoy a guided tour of Cologne that ends outside the fabled 13th-century Gothic cathedral, the most famous landmark of the city. Take the balance of the afternoon to explore Cologne on your own. In the late afternoon, sail for Holland.

DAY 7: Saturday - Amsterdam City Tour
This morning, enjoy a tour of Amsterdam that includes the Royal Palace, National Monument, Skinny Bridge and Albert Cuyp market. Cruise the canals in a glass-top boat and view historic homes, 16th century merchant houses, and charming churches with bell towers. This evening, celebrate you last night on board at the captain's farewell dinner.

DAY 8: Sunday - Disembark & Depart for the USA

(1) Enjoy an optional excursion to Rothenburg, a quaint town located on the famous "Romantic Road." Your tour of this well-preserved village includes St. Jacob's Church, whose interior contains magnificent limewood altars by Tilman Riemenschneider, and the 13th century Town Hall. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and time on your own before continuing to the town of Wurzburg, "The Pearl of the Romantic Road." On arrival, visit one of Wurzburg's most famous historic sites, the 18th century Residenz Palace, designed by Johann Balthasar Neumann.
(2) Enjoy a guided tour of Marksburg Castle, the only hill castle on the Rhine that has never been destroyed. With 800 years of history, the castle has been continuously occupied and maintained, and today the beautiful structure serves as the home of the German Castles Association. It houses a host of fascinating artifacts that tell the story of its past and bring the Middle Ages to life.
